Thanks to the power of television, the Internet and especially social media sites like Twitter and Facebook, most people around the world now know who Susan Boyle is. At age 47, she leapt to almost immediate global fame when she sang “I Dreamed a Dream” from Les Misérables as an audition for the television program, “Britain’s Got Talent”.
