A Cry of Stone
by: Michael D. O’ Brien
This is an intelligent, edifying novel without ever becoming cloying and condescending. I appreciated that.

I’ve read Dan Brown’s first four books (I’ll get to The Lost Symbol eventually), and while I enjoyed them I have to admit that I like these authors a lot better:
Clive Cussler
James Rollins
Jack Du Brul
John Ringo
Carl Hiaasen
Terry Pratchett
Robert Rankin
Tom Holt

If I could, I would refund the money you spend on this book, IF YOU DID NOT LIKE. But I can’t do that anyway.
Try it anyway.

If you liked the Dan Brown — I didn’t — you might enjoy Steve Berry’s books.
David Brin also wrote a lot of other excellent novels, including EARTH. And if you like him, you might like Gregory Benford and Greg Bear.
