I've been we do the examination dvd (Jillian Michaels 30-Day Shred) as well as the dvd says which we should do the dvd each day, though I've been we do it 4 days true as well as I'm flattering sore. Should we keep going, or should we take the day off? Is tenderness the pointer of swell which we should only "tough out," or does it meant which we should take the break? Thanks!

all i have to say is from my experience as a cheerleader i always came home sore from practice and when this happend i always stretched after no matter how bad it hurt it made me more flexible when the soreness finally went away so i suggest that you do continue because it is most likely part of the whole process and is a sign that u are progressing

It could go either way, from my own experience. Supposedly it's bad to do it when you're still sore, but that is not the only variable it depends on. If you haven't exercised in a while and you are sore for a week or two, then it is counterproductive to wait until you are not sore before beginning the next workout. In addition, I have often found that sometimes I am only KIND of sore after doing something perhaps to the best of my ability the day before but now I am able to dig deeper today and even though I am sore, summon more strength than I could manage the day before.

But USUALLY, it is simply a losing battle to try to go at it when you're still sore. Eat a lot of protein. And I mean consume a large fraction of your total calories as protein, I don't mean eat a bunch of greasy meat. Get some soy protein and when you are sore, your body will absorb it and use it to correct the problems that the soreness indicates, as well as the weakness in those muscles that led to the soreness in the first place.

thats the best time too work out

If you work out while sore the soreness will go away. The lactic acid in your muscles will go away with continuous exercise.

yes you should because it will burn a lot more fat..

When a muscle is "sore" or torn, it is strengthened when healed. Therefore causing growing muscles. So I believe yes the soreness is a sign of progression but maybe a couple days or even a day of rest could help with the healing of your muscle.

Definitely not. Muscles need to rest properly and have the chance to repair before they are worked again. During your rest period make sure to eat more protein than normal, more fiber, and drink lots of water. People react differently to exercise, as you continue to do the workout, you will notice yourself being less sore for a shorter period of time.

It would be ok to take a break, or have a light exercise. If you feel extremely tired and/or going to the bathroom more than usual, don't. That would mean that you are burning out.

there's no reason to put your body through all the stress that your putting it through. take a day off or 2. Respect and love your body. I've had to learn the hard way like most people but now i listen to my body. REMEMBER Rome wasn't built in a day.

Honestly i believe that when you are sore you should take a break. The reason is… if your muscles are sore that means that they are growing. The way your muscles get bigger is when you work out, when you work out your muscles flex. when your muscles flex eventually your muscles will tear a little ( it is ok if that happens, it happens to everyone… so don't worry about it), when they tear it is best to take a break to let them heal up. When they heal it makes the muscle bigger.

    Good Luck with your Exercising!!!!

It's different for every person. From my experience, core is the only muscle group that can really be done every day. Other workouts such as upper body and legs should have a day or so resting period. Leave at least one day for your muscles to rebuild — and at most three days since your muscles begin to atrophy after three days. Yes, you can do cardio every day if you wish since that's strengthening your heart as opposed to the hardcore resistance workouts, which your body needs time to repair from. Doing cardio every day, however, may decrease your muscle mass so if you wish to gain mass, stick to only 2 or 3 days of cardio.

Soreness is normal after a workout but it shouldn't be a stabbing sore. You are ripping your muscles as you work out, but they rebuild into stronger muscles afterward, giving you those bigger guns you've always wanted! Just be sure to have a protein shake immediately after you exercise since protein is the sole builder of muscle.

So yes, you can work through soreness if you wish, just be careful not to pull anything and be sure to give yourself a day to recupe .

Either you're sore because you haven't worked out for a LONG time or either because your muscles are developing from that 4 day workout. Instead try working out for a smaller amount of time everyday. And once you're used to it, you can go back to your daily workout time. Make sure you don't workout right after you eat, wait 2 hours before working out and drink LOTS of water continuously throughout the day everyday. And make sure you do rest, I guess if it's really painful then take a day off but don't slack off, continue with your daily routine afterwards.
